LORD BAIRON spilte på den aller første utgaven av Canarias Hard & Heavy Meeting i 2007, og også på den siste før pandemien stengte hele verden. Derfor var det naturlig å spørre dem om de ville være med på å hjelpe CHHM tilbake på beina, og det var en glede at de takket ja, nå med en litt annerledes besetning enn ved tidligere opptredener hos oss.
Bandet ble grunnlagt av trommeslageren i mars 2003, i Cruce de Arinaga, en liten landsby på Gran Canaria.
I dag består bandet av:
Fran Navarro González på vokal, Fernando Artiles Pérez på gitar, David Guedes Cuevas på gitar og kor, Osvaldo Oro Melián på bass og kor, og Juan Pérez Artiles på trommer. Bandet er inspirert av mange grupper, spesielt britiske, som Iron Maiden, Judas Priest, Black Sabbath, og artister som Ronnie James Dio, med røtter i den klassiske hardrocken fra 70-tallet.
Navnet Lord Bairon kommer fra den engelske forfatteren Lord Byron, som visstnok var litt av en rebell, og derfor likte de det. Navnet klinger godt både på engelsk og spansk, og for å unngå problemer med opphavsrett valgte de å gjøre noen små endringer i skrivemåten.
Når det gjelder utgivelser, har de foreløpig ingen album på markedet. De holder nå på med de siste detaljene for å gi ut en EP med sju låter, med arbeidstittelen «Far Beyond Your World». De har spilt med store band i den nasjonale scenen som Barón Rojo på Cebollinazo Rock (Gran Canaria), Obús og Sphinx på Laguna Rock (Tenerife), og internasjonalt med Triosphere fra Norge, i tillegg til andre band under ulike CHHM-utgaver der de har deltatt.
Planene videre er å gi ut denne EP-en og fortsette å spille overalt hvor arrangører ønsker å ha dem og musikken deres.

LORD BAIRON tocaba en la primera edición del Canarias Hard & Heavy Meeting en 2007 y también en la última antes de que la pandemia cerrara el mundo entero. Por lo tanto, era lógico preguntarles si estarían dispuestos a ayudar a que el CHHM se recuperara, y fue un placer que aceptaran, ahora con una formación ligeramente diferente a la de las veces anteriores en que han tocado para nosotros.
La banda fue fundada por el batería en marzo de 2003, en el Cruce de Arinaga, un pueblito de Gran Canaria. Actualmente, la banda está compuesta por: Fran Navarro González en la voz, Fernando Artiles Pérez en guitarras, David Guedes Cuevas en guitarras y coros, Osvaldo Oro Melián en bajo y coros, y Juan Pérez Artiles en batería.
Sus influencias provienen de muchas bandas, sobre todo británicas, tales como Iron Maiden, Judas Priest, Black Sabbath, y artistas como Ronnie James Dio, etcétera, basándose siempre en el rock clásico de los años 70.
El nombre, Lord Bairon, proviene de un escritor inglés (Lord Byron) que era un poco canalla, y por eso nos gustó. Además, suena bien tanto en inglés como en español, y para evitar problemas de copyright decidimos hacer unas pequeñas modificaciones en la forma de escribir su nombre.
En cuanto a discos, aún no tenemos ninguno en el mercado. Estamos ultimando los detalles finales para sacar un EP, con siete temas, bajo el título genérico “Far Beyond Your World”. Hemos tocado con grandes bandas del panorama nacional como Barón Rojo en el Cebollinazo Rock (Gran Canaria), Obús y Sphinx en el Laguna Rock (Tenerife), y a nivel internacional con Triosphere, de Noruega, además de otras bandas en distintas ediciones del CHHM en las que hemos participado.
Los planes para el futuro son sacar el disco del que hablamos y seguir tocando en todos los lugares que quieran contar con nosotros y con nuestra música.
Solamente queremos decirles a los lectores de Helvete Magazine que sigan escuchando Heavy Metal y Hard Rock, y que esperamos conocernos mutuamente en alguna de nuestras actuaciones.
Nosotros en Helvete Magazine estamos deseando volver a verlos y escucharlos, con miembros tanto nuevos como veteranos, y les deseamos a la banda lo mejor para el futuro.

LORD BAIRON performed at the very first edition of the Canarias Hard & Heavy Meeting in 2007, as well as at the last one before the pandemic shut the whole world down. Therefore, it was only natural to ask them if they would be willing to help CHHM get back on its feet, and it was a pleasure that they accepted, now with a slightly different line-up compared to their previous appearances with us.
The band was founded by the drummer in March 2003 in Cruce de Arinaga, a small village on Gran Canaria. Currently, the band consists of:
Fran Navarro González on vocals, Fernando Artiles Pérez on guitars, David Guedes Cuevas on guitars and backing vocals, Osvaldo Oro Melián on bass and backing vocals, and Juan Pérez Artiles on drums.
Their influences come from many bands, especially British ones, such as Iron Maiden, Judas Priest, Black Sabbath, and artists like Ronnie James Dio, always rooted in classic 70s rock.
The name Lord Bairon comes from the English writer Lord Byron, who was known for being a bit of a rogue, which is why they liked the name. It also sounds good in both English and Spanish, and to avoid copyright issues they decided to slightly modify the spelling.
Regarding releases, they do not yet have any albums on the market. They are currently finalizing the last details to release an EP with seven tracks, under the working title «Far Beyond Your World». They have played with major bands on the national scene such as Barón Rojo at Cebollinazo Rock (Gran Canaria), Obús and Sphinx at Laguna Rock (Tenerife), and internationally with Triosphere from Norway, as well as other bands during various CHHM editions in which they have participated.
